UNESCO Chairs are university programmes for research, training and international cooperation in the Organization’s priority areas. Within the Holy See, the UNESCO Chair on Futures of Education for Sustainability, established at the Pontifical Lateran University on 7 October 2021, promotes education for younger generations in integral ecological responsibility and sustainability through research and study activities involving multiple universities and disciplines.
